We ALL buy your products so please do not offend us by celebrating one holiday and ignoring all other faiths. The store offers DIY projects for even the youngest builders. The free Home Depot Kids Workshop offers a different building project each month and provides a safe, creative and hands-on parent-child experience. I definitely wouldn’t recommend waiting until the last hour to arrive, otherwise, you may have some disappointed kids!
In 1997, the Kids Workshops program launched in our stores across the U.S. and Canada. What started as a grassroots effort by a few stores quickly became an institution, with many stores seeing hundreds of workshop attendees each month. Twenty-five years later, the program is going strong. The Kids Workshop program will take place in U.S.
Get Ready For Fun!
These workshops are designed for all adults, regardless of experience level. Home Depot offers a range of free workshops that teach on a variety of DIY and home improvement topics. A few weeks ago, I attended my first Do-It-Herself Workshop at Home Depot. The project for the month was a cute beverage station. Thanks for visiting and commenting, but I do not work for Home Depot – I simply love to help families find fun (& free!) activities they can do together. Home Depot Free Kids Workshop Schedule for 2022:
Children must be present at the store to participate in the workshop and receive the kit, apron, and pin. The first Saturday of every month, from 9 a.m. To noon, kids and their parents can attend free workshops at Home Depot stores across the country.
Each child receives an apron, an apron pin and a certificate of achievement for completing their project. They also leave the store with the fruit of their labor – such as a fire rescue boat or window bird feeder – and a sense of accomplishment. The Home Depot Kids Workshops are building classes that teach kids hands-on construction skills – and they're absolutely free.

I have a 10 year old boy, and we’ve been going since he was about 2 1/2 – 3. He loves making the probjects, and while he doesn’t need my help anymore it is still fun to get out and do. He actually looks forward to them each month, and remembers that they are always the first Saturday. The Home Depot staff is around to answer any questions, but they allow families to do the building on their own and enjoy the bonding time. We finished our birdhouse in about 30 minutes. Or, you can visit your local store and ask if they offer workshops.
The classes are designed for all ages and experience levels. So, whether you want to repaint your bedroom or build something for the garden, you can learn how to do it for free at a one of the store’s workshops. If you’re looking for a fun girls’ night out, the Home Depot Do-It-Herself workshops are a fun option!
My girls are 8 and 6 and we have been going for years. My siblings will also bring their kids and we make a family event out of it. I wish my girls would still let me help, but not anymore.

Watching movies in advance, for free, is easier than you think. If you have to only sign up for one paid survey site to make money, go with Ipsos (high paying survyes!). So, if you do need something doing around the home, whether it’s painting your bedroom or installing tiles in the bathroom, you’ll know how to do it yourself.
There are tons of ways to save money at the Home Depot and one of those ways is through their free work shop classes for both kids and adults. She’s experienced with the Home Depot Do-It-Herself workshops. She arrived a little early and bought all of our supplies so that we could actually make the project there. You can even check out the Livestream workshops on Home Depot’s website. And don’t forget to keep in touch with your local Home Depot near you to see if they have any updates. As I discover what the projects will be for the Home Depot workshops, I’ll list them below so you know what you’re getting into before you head out with the kiddos.
Every month, Home Depot Canada holds a new workshop just for kids. They'll learn how to make a different project each time, and they can even take their creations home. We were incredibly pleased with the entire experience! It was a great way for our son to practice building skills with supplies, direction and expertise on hand.
It was a little on the wobbly side, but overall I was happy with how it looked. It’s very lightweight, so I can carry it around the house without a problem. I opted to not cut the circle in the top of the beverage station. I liked the look of the inset pail, but I wanted to be able to use it as more of a table than a beverage station all the time. The class lasts about an hour and a half, even though ours went a little over. There were several of us making the project which extended the class a bit.
They teach a range of DIY and repair topics that can help you to better your home improvement skills. And, since the Lowe’s Build and Grow, as of 2017 isn’t available anymore – the last classes were held in December 2016, this is a great alternative. Another example of items featured in previous classes is the Home Depot bunny basket.
